Uhrichsville woman killed as motorcycle towing camper loses control and overturns

| June 2, 2025

NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (June 6, 2025)  – The State Highway Patrol says a motorcycle passenger was killed and the operator seriously injured when their motorcycle lost control while pulling a camper trailer on US 250 in Goshen Township Sunday night.

The New Philadelphia post says 44-year-old Jill Morris of Uhrichsville died at the scene of the one-vehicle crash. It happened shortly after 8 p.m. as the trailer started to sway, causing the eastbound motorcycle to overturn and slide off the right side of the road.

The motorcycle operator, 47-year-old Keith Morris of Uhrichsville, sustained life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital and then flown to Akron General.

Troopers say they were not wearing helmets, and the crash remains under investigation.
