Ex-Buckeyes coach turned Lt. Gov. promotes fitness initiative at Ridgewood

| September 23, 2025

WEST LAFAYETTE (WTUZ) (Sept. 23, 2025) – Ohio Lieutenant Governor Jim Tressel’s travels across the state brought him to Ridgewood Middle-High School Monday.

Tressel was present for an assembly that included 4th through 7th graders who have been working on their own goals as part of his new fitness challenge for students.

Tressel says his program is to encourage young students to become more self-aware about the importance of fitness, nutrition, and rest.

The challenge is a 90-day journey with personalized goal setting that earns participants bronze, silver, or gold designations.

More information is at education.ohio.gov/teamtressel.
