Tuscarawas Democratic Meeting

The Tuscarawas County Democratic Central Committee will meet Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 6 PM at Democratic Headquarters located at 1260 Monroe Street NW, New Philadelphia.

The purpose of this meeting is to select a candidate for the November 2026 General Election ballot for the position of Judge of the Court of Common Pleas.  The open ballot position is the result of the retirement of Judge Elizabeth Thomakos. While the position is currently filled by a gubernatorial appointee through December 31, 2026; the candidate elected in the 2026 General Election will fill the remainder of the term, serving from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2028.
