GOP Central Committee to select new county prosecutor
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (March 19, 2026) – The Tuscarawas County Republican Central Committee will meet tonight to choose the county’s next prosecutor.
Scott Deedrick
Acting Prosecutor Scott Deedrick—appointed earlier this month after Ryan Styer moved from county prosecutor to common pleas court judge—is seeking to be selected for the role permanently.
If chosen, Deedrick plans to run in November for the remaining two years of Styer’s unexpired term.
The committee will convene at 6 p.m. at GOP headquarters on State Route 39 in New Philadelphia.
