Respiratory illness activity declines in Tuscarawas County

DOVER (WJER) (April 3, 2026) – It appears respiratory illness season is winding down in Tuscarawas County as the weather improves.

According to the latest Ohio Department of Health reports, COVID-19 levels in the Dover wastewater system are currently moderate, RSV levels are low, and the flu has not been detected at all in recent samples.

Also, there were zero hospitalizations among Tuscarawas County residents for COVID-19, flu, or RSV during the most recent reporting week.

Statewide, 31 COVID-19 hospitalizations, 60 Flu hospitalizations, and 100 RSV hospitalizations were reported.
