Dover residents must file city income taxes by April 15
DOVER – The city’s income tax office is putting out one last reminder that all residents with qualifying incomes must file city income taxes this year.
Dover Income Tax Administrator Tami McIntyre says filing only takes a couple of minutes at the office at 112 East Fourth Street, behind the former First Federal Bank building and future City Hall. Just bring your W2 forms or schedule C forms if you’re self-employed.
Dover gives 1 ½ percent credit to residents who work someplace else that withholds taxes. This is the first year all residents have to file Dover city income taxes, even if they live and work in Dover.
There is also a drop box outside the Fourth Street office. Taxes are due on Wednesday, April 15.
