Dennison to debut downtown DORA during America 250 Buckeye Train festivities

| April 22, 2026

DENNISON (WJER) (April 22, 2026)  — The Village of Dennison will put its new Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) into use for the first time this weekend as part of the America 250 Buckeye Train celebrations.

The DORA program allows visitors to purchase alcoholic beverages in approved cups and walk within a clearly marked portion of downtown. Village officials say the new amenity is intended to enhance special events and draw more visitors to local businesses.

A beer garden will be located in the parking lot of the Dennison Yard. Participants are reminded to watch for white boundary signs and remain within the designated DORA limits.

Mayor Greg DiDonato emphasized the importance of staying within the approved area, noting that some Buckeye Train activities will take place outside the permitted DORA boundaries.
