Two Semi Trucks Damaged at Franklin Township Facility Fire
FRANKLIN TWP. (WJER) (May 19, 2026) – Strasburg firefighters continue investigating the Sunday evening fire involving two semi trucks at the ProVia Fleet Maintenance facility on Baertown Road.
Fire Chief Jason Ely says the blaze was reported around 6:15 p.m. by a passerby on I‑77 who spotted heavy black smoke.
Officials say the fire was contained to the two trucks, which were parked without trailers, though heat caused some damage to a nearby motorcycle and possibly another car.
No injuries were reported. Ely says surveillance footage shows the fire started under the hood of one truck and does not appear to be suspicious. No damage estimate has been released.
