Uhrichsville Council approves lease agreement for new service garage
UHRICHSVILLE (WJER) (Aug. 8, 2026) – City Council has approved a lease agreement for a new city service garage location.
The city is selling its current garage at North Main and East Second streets.
That left officials looking for a place to store 14 pieces of equipment. At a special meeting last week, council accepted a lease for 121 and 125 South Romig Street at $1,000 a month, contingent on the sale of the current garage.
Street Supervisor Steve Patterson says the move has been a long time coming.
Patterson says one change is that the city’s new salt bin will be located on other city-owned property on Fourth Street.
The owner of the Romig Street property wants the city to cover property taxes while it occupies the site. The service director says the city will apply for a tax exemption.
