Dover Police Department Faces Two Officer Vacancies
DOVER (WJER) (Aug. 5, 2026) – The Dover Police Department is working to fill two vacancies following recent personnel changes.
Safety Director Bob Everett told Dover City Council on Monday that Officer Nick Castricone has submitted his resignation, effective Aug. 12, to attend college.
The department will also appoint a new captain to replace Josh Roach, who recently succeeded Everett as Director of Safety and Security at Buckeye Career Center.
Everett noted that Dover is not alone in facing police staffing challenges.
He said he will work closely with the police chief and the city’s Civil Service Commission to fill both positions as quickly as possible.
