Fort Laurens Archeological School Day

Fort Laurens, the site of Ohio’s only Revolutionary War fort, is hosting an Archeological School Day on Friday, October 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

During the event, students will learn the importance of archaeology, how it is conducted and how it affects other fields of study. Students can participate in a variety of activities, including a hands-on mock archeological dig, educational presentations, and museum tours where they can learn local history and view Revolutionary War artifacts. All activities meet Ohio educational standards for fourth through eighth grade.

The event is open to public, private and homeschooled students of all ages. Pre-registration is required. Admission is $7 per student and free for one adult per group; additional adult tickets are $7 each.
