Dennison Police to Outline New E‑Bike, E‑Scooter Rules Tonight
DENNISON (WTUZ) (Sept. 28, 2026) – The Dennison Police Department is set to host an informational meeting tonight on new rules recently passed by village council for e-bike and e-scooter safety.
The public meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the Railroaders Auditorium, on the top floor of Village Hall.
Police Chief Todd Beeman urged council to pass the legislation establishing new rules for the vehicles.
Beeman says one key difference for the village now is that anyone riding on a sidewalk must slow down to a walking pace.
Another part of the ordinance requires anyone under 18 to wear a helmet.
Tonight’s meeting will be led by Sergeant Joshua Newman, who will explain the new requirements and answer questions from the public.
