Final Day to Register to Vote in Tuscarawas County
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (Oct. 5, 2026) — Tuscarawas County’s Board of Elections is reminding residents that today is the final day to register to vote ahead of November’s general election.
Director Dave Johnson says the East High Avenue office will stay open late, operating from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. for anyone needing to register, update their information, or handle absentee ballot requests.
He says the last day is typically busy with new voters and those whose registrations were canceled after long periods of inactivity.
Voters can check their status online or by calling 330‑343‑8819, and anyone registering in person must bring identification.
