Sherrodsville Man Killed in Carroll County Motorcycle Crash
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (Oct. 9, 2026) – A 70‑year‑old Sherrodsville man died Thursday afternoon after his motorcycle went off State Route 39 in Monroe Township and struck a flatbed trailer.
The State Highway Patrol says William Burrows was riding northeast when he drove off the right side of the road as a truck was turning into a private driveway. Burrows was pronounced dead at the scene and was not wearing a helmet.
The truck’s driver and passenger were not hurt. Troopers cited the driver for a commercial driver’s license violation.
The crash remains under investigation.
