Co-occurring mental health/substance use training

The event

The ADAMS board has partnered with the Case Western Reserve University Center of Innovative Practices to bring trainer Melissa Longstreth to facilitate co-occurring mental health and substance use disorder training for Tuscarawas and Carroll County residents.

The first to be offered is an evening workshop for community members who may have a loved one or friend with a co-occurring diagnosis who want to support them in their recovery and learn how to communicate with them in a supportive manner. That will be held on Tuesday, October 4th from 6pm to 8:30pm at Founder’s Hall at Kent State Tusc.

The next day, Wednesday, October 5th, there will be a half day of training for community stakeholders or professionals. It will be held from 8am to noon in Founder’s Hall.

Both are FREE!!
