$2.1M renovation begins at Tuscarawas County Health Department

| March 31, 2025

DOVER (March 31, 2025) – A renovation project is underway at the Tuscarawas County Health Department.

Director of Community Relations Jennifer Demuth says the building, which opened in 1977, needs upgrades.

She says the first phase is adding a bypass drive along the side for easier traffic flow during drive-up events. Future work includes heating and air upgrades, a new 2,295-square-foot office wing, and updated wheelchair accessibility.

Demuth says state funding and federal grants will help cover the estimated $2.1 million cost.

The health department will remain open during construction. Renovations could be completed by this fall.
