2025 report lists New Philadelphia as Ohio’s 7th safest city
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (April 28, 2025) – City officials are welcoming their latest ranking when it comes to crime statistics in the state.
SafeWise lists New Philadelphia at number 7 on its Safest Cities 2025 report for Ohio.
Mayor Joel Day says that’s a testament of the police department’s commitment to protecting its citizens.
The report looks at city data, showing New Philadelphia’s index score for property crime was 1.6 per 1,000 people, and 0.7 per 1,000 people for violent crime.
