ADAMHS Board officials brace for pending Medicaid cuts

| July 21, 2025

NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (July 21, 2025) – The ADAMHS Board of Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties is expressing concerns over federal cuts to Medicaid.

ADAMHS Board Director Natalie Bollon says the agency pays for treatment costs that Medicaid does not cover at partnering agencies such as SpringVale and Ohio Guidestone.

ADAMHS Board Special Projects Manager Mike Dotts says some people could lose Medicaid coverage with these cuts yet still remain within federal poverty levels.

That would put them on the ADAMHS Board’s sliding fee scale and potentially end up creating a greater cost burden on the ADAMHS Board.
