Arctic blast sets in across Tuscarawas County

PITTSBURGH (WJER) (Jan. 20, 2025) – The National Weather Service is urging everyone to use caution while traveling outside these next few days because of the extreme cold.
That includes wearing appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves, and to keep pets indoors as much as possible.
Tuscarawas County is under a cold weather advisory until 1 p.m. Wednesday.
The NWS says dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero are possible during the advisory, which could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Those wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
