ATV crash kills Fresno man, seriously injures passenger
FRANKLIN TWP (WJER) (April 28, 2022) – The state highway patrol is investigating a fatal ATV crash that killed the operator and seriously injured a passenger Wednesday near Strasburg.
The New Philadelphia Post says 55-year-old Shawn Murphy of Fresno was killed and 54-year-old Shannon Murphy of Fresno was flown to Akron General Hospital.
Troopers say the ATV was traveling northeast on Race Road when it went off the right side of the road, struck a ditch, overturned, and then came to a rest in the middle of the roadway at 4:34 pm.
The crash remains under investigation.
