August traffic crash turns fatal as driver dies weeks later

NEW PHILADLEPHIA – A 64-year-old Bowerston woman injured in a crash on Aug. 10 died from her injuries on Thursday.
The State Highway Patrol says Dawn Coleman was driving a 1994 Ford Taurus that was hit on the driver’s side by a 2012 Nissan Rogue at the intersection of County Road 64 and Township Road 286 in Mill Township just after 1:30 in the afternoon on a Sunday.
Authorities say Coleman had stopped at a stop sign and was attempting a left turn but failed to yield to oncoming traffic, which did not have a stop sign. Coleman was not wearing a seatbelt.
The driver of the other vehicle, an 18-year-old Dennison female, was wearing a seatbelt and had just minor injuries treated at the scene.
Coleman was transported to Aultman Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries on September 4th.
