Buckeye Career Center hosts annual Spring Open House tonight
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (March 19, 2026) — Buckeye Career Center is welcoming community members, prospective students, and alumni to its annual Spring Open House this evening. The event runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and is open to all area residents interested in exploring the school’s career‑technical education opportunities.
Marketing Coordinator Shyanne Carroll said visitors will have the chance to tour classrooms and labs while learning about more than 35 high school programs and 10 full‑time Adult Education programs. Several part‑time and specialized training options will also be highlighted. All high school students from surrounding areas are invited to attend.
Alumni and former staff can gather in the Joe Carlisle Marketplace for a complimentary meal, a door‑prize drawing, and a chance to browse yearbooks from past decades.
Students planning for next year can also benefit from attending. High schoolers who apply on‑site will receive a small gift, while adult applicants for full‑time programs will have their $50 application fee waived.
