Burn ban slightly alters plans for Schoenbrunn Lantern Tours
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (Sept. 27, 2024) – The Historic Schoenbrunn Village Fall Lantern Tours are on for this weekend with some changes due to the recent weather.
Site Manager Tanner Immel says because of the state’s burn ban, they’ll be using electric candles in the luminaries outside the cabins, while all the fires on the inside are still permitted.
The tours are happening again from 7:30-9:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday.
Activities will include writing with quills and ink and learning about candle making.
Tickets are required and those can be purchased at the door and at the Ohio History Connection website.
