Charity dog Saturday at Breitenbach Winery
DOVER (WJER) (Sept. 27, 2024) – It’s time again to find out if your dog is the Loveliest Lady or Most Fabulous Fella around.
Breitenbach Winery has its yearly dog show Saturday/this afternoon also with additional categories including Best Sausage Catcher, Most Original Costume, and Sweetest Golden Oldie. Owner Jennifer Kohler says there’s a $5 entry fee that goes to the Police K9 Association.
“Police K9 has really just made the whole area safer and just a better place to live altogether, and the guys and women involved with our police K9 association here, they’re all really good friends and really great people.”
Registration opens at 2 with contests beginning an hour later. Kohler was on the Ryan and Michelle Morning Show earlier this week with her dog Bruno promoting the event that concludes with a free contest they call ‘Egg and Spoon.’
“We have like a little track that you walk your dog through while you have an egg and spoon in your hand, so we have lots of eggs on the patio at the end of the day.”
There will be live music on the patio beginning at noon, vendors with treats and such, and the winery will be serving up doggie-themed sangrias.
