County Engineer’s Office Moves to New Goshen Township Facility

| August 26, 2026

GOSHEN TWP. (WJER) (Aug. 26, 2026) – The Tuscarawas County Engineer’s Office is settling into a new home on Possum Hollow Road in Goshen Township.

Engineer Doug Bachman says the county initially considered a $1.8 million renovation of its aging Front Avenue facility, but purchasing the former Mushrush property made more sense after the newer building became available.

State grants covered most of the $3.2 million purchase, leaving the county’s share at about $925,000.

Bachman says the move also gives county trucks an easier route, reducing trips through the busy Bluebell Drive and West High Avenue intersection.

The office has already moved, with mechanics, trucks and other operations transitioning in the coming months. An open house is planned once the department is fully settled.
