Crash closes Wooster Avenue in Dover around lunchtime

DOVER – Wooster Avenue near 14th Street was closed around lunchtime Wednesday as police investigated a two-vehicle crash.
Dover Fire Captain Joe Minocchi says six people with minor injuries were transported from the scene by ambulance, including three minors.
Patrolman Sean Lefler says the pickup truck and another vehicle were speeding southbound on Wooster Avenue at around 11:30 a.m. The vehicle switched lanes, causing the pickup to fishtail and strike a third vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. The pickup truck rolled over. Four passengers but not the driver were transported to the hospital. Both occupants in the vehicle struck by the pickup truck were taken to the hospital.
Lefler says there will be citations. Police are investigating the roles the southbound vehicles had in the crash. The northbound vehicle’s driver will not be cited.
Lefler said both vehicles were towed from the scene and are potentially totaled.
