Democrats Host Early Voting Kickoff Tonight
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (Sept. 29, 2026) – Tuscarawas County Democrats are hosting a gathering today to introduce party candidates and lay out key dates and voting options ahead of the November election.
The early voting kickoff event runs from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Pilot Brewhouse in New Philadelphia.
Volunteer Karen Izzi Gallagher says residents are invited for a casual social hour and a meet‑and‑greet with local and state candidates or their representatives — with no speeches, just one‑on‑one conversation, giving voters a relaxed way to ask questions before heading to the polls.
Gallagher says organizers will also walk voters through how to register and cast a ballot early ahead of the November election.
Today’s event is free and open to the public. No RSVP is needed.
The voter registration deadline is October 5th, and the Board of Elections will be open until 9 p.m. that night. Early voting begins the following day.
