Dennison looks ahead to a year of progress

| March 9, 2026

DENNISON (WJER) (March 9, 2026)  – Village officials are anticipating several key improvements this year, including road paving and updated fire equipment.

Mayor Greg DiDonato says he’s waiting to hear back on an Ohio Public Works Commission grant application that could help fund a new round of paving work.

The village also has plans for sidewalks and retainer wall work on 1st Street.

Officials are also eyeing new equipment for safety forces. DiDonato says the village is in a healthy financial position but there are concerns about a statewide ballot initiative to eliminate property taxes.

Another item on the village’s radar is the restart of the Enbridge gas line project on the north end of town. That work is expected to resume in April.
