DOVER – The city recognized a longtime employee this week and is saving his spot at the park two months after he passed away.
Ken Rose was 62 and working as a crew leader with the Dover Parks Department when he died on Nov. 12. City Council Monday approved a resolution expressing sympathy and thanking Rose for 29 years of service. Mayor Shane Gunnoe offered an additional memorial. He says the city planted a royal raindrop crabapple tree near the tennis courts where he watched his daughter this past season on the Dover girls tennis team.
In addition to his wife, Christine, Ken Rose is survived by four daughters and a grandchild with another on the way. https://www.geibfuneral.com/obituaries/kenneth-g-ken-rose-jr
They asked for memorial donations to the Dover girls tennis team through the Dover Tornado Club.
