Dover restaurants set to reopen
DOVER – It appears a pair of closed local eateries will be opening again soon.
Blazin’ Burgers on North Crater Avenue posted on its Facebook page that the restaurant will be open by the end of the month. The post asks for anyone interested in a job to message the Facebook page. Interviews will be conducted next week. Blazin’ Burgers closed and announced it was for sale in August 2023, citing lack of staff and an upcoming retirement.
Meanwhile, after the Dover City School District bought the East of Chicago Pizza building on North Wooster Avenue last month, the operators announced on Facebook that they are moving the shop downtown. A post says East of Chicago will be on Wooster Avenue across from the former First Federal Community Bank and future Dover City Hall.
Dover school officials plan to tear down the old East of Chicago building to make way for the possible expansion of the Dover Middle School campus.
