Dover’s swim teams scored lopsided wins over New Philadelphia at the Tuscarawas County YMCA Wedneday.

The girls score was 120-26, and the boys score was 101-19, both in favor of the Tornadoes.

Dover vs. NP Meet Results

Dover won almost every individual event and relay.

The Quakers’ Kenny Nguyen prevented the complete sweep, winning the 200 and 500 freestyle races for New Phila’s only wins.

Dover’s Lucas Lane, a state champion and state runner-up in freestyle races over the past two years, placed first in the backstroke and breaststroke.

Elizabeth Lane won two individual events, too – the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly.

Holly Perkowski was another multiple event winner, scoring first place in the 50 and 100 freestyle races.

Kasey Ruegsegger won the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly for the Tornadoes.
