Downtown Dover Chocolate Walk sells out for another year
DOVER (WJER) (June 3, 2024) – Dover Public Library officials say it’s already too late to buy tickets for the annual Downtown Dover Chocolate Walk.
Library Director Jim Gill says they sold all 250 tickets made available for the walk, happening this Saturday.
Gill says those fortunate enough to get a ticket receive a map, a bag, and a passport to 25 participating businesses – or sweet stops – downtown that will each be giving out a sizable chocolate treat from 5:00-7:30 p.m. that evening.
He says the tickets were selling for $20 each, but that’s enough to serve an entire family.
If you missed out on getting a ticket, you can still attend the after party at Hoodletown Brewing through 10:30 p.m. with live music, but those with a Chocolate Walk passport get 10% off the purchase of a food item.
Gill says the Chocolate Walk is again a fundraiser for the library’s Canal Town Book Festival, which this year has been moved to October 5th at Dover High School.
