Free Showing of Documentary “13th” at Kent State Tusc

The event

In recognition of Black History Month, the Citizens for Racial Justice & Reform – Tuscarawas County and the Kent State University Tuscarawas Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee invite the community to a free showing of the 2016 documentary “13th” on Thursday, February 16th at 6:00pm at Founders Hall Auditorium at Kent State University Tuscarawas. The film takes an in-depth look at the prison system in the United States and focuses on the fact that the nation’s prisons are disproportionately filled with Black men. The movie is not rated and has a run time of 1 hour and 40 minutes. There is no charge for admission to the movie, and all are welcome to attend. Free popcorn and beverages will be available.
