Free Speaker Series at Fort Laurens

The event

Fort Laurens continues its Free Speaker Series on Saturday, October 15th at 11am in their theater. Kerry Metzger will discuss the career of General Daniel Morgan, who joined the American Army after serving as an ensign in the British Army. As U.S. Brigadier (pro: brig a deer) General in 1781, he led a mix of 300 Continental soldiers and several hundred untrained state militia members to victory over the British at the Battle of Cowpens in South Carolina. He later helped end the Whiskey Rebellion and was elected to a term in the U.S. House of Representatives. No reservations are required for this event.
