The event

Prepare to be transported across continents and centuries at the Dominic Greco Band Concert happening the weekend of June 21st and June 22nd. This free, family-friendly event promises an unforgettable evening filled with bold symphonic works, virtuosic solos, and musical storytelling. The Dominic Greco Band is thrilled to perform an extraordinary evening of music and culture. The concert schedule includes an indoor venue on Saturday, June 21st at 7:00 p.m. in the Claymont High School auditorium located at 4205 Indian Hill Rd in Uhrichsville. The second concert will be at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 22nd at the Tuscora Park Amphitheatre in New Philadelphia. “It’s exciting to host a concert indoors at our high school and show the relationship between our founder, Dominic Greco and the Claymont district.” said Dominic Greco co-director, April Linard. The concert’s program includes the majestic “Pines of the Appian Way” from Ottorino Respighi’s Pines of Rome, the triumphant “Entry of the Gladiators” by Julius Fučík, selections from Mussorgsky’s vibrant “Pictures at an Exhibition”, Rossini’s “Italian in Algiers”, the passion of Tchaikovsky’s “Romeo and
Juliet” Overture-Fantasy and many more. Adding to the excitement are a few standout solo performances including a horn solo featuring Steve
Stroup on the soaring and cinematic “Wingspan”, a vibraphone solo spotlighting Robert Kaser in the guitar-turned-percussion showpiece, “Classical Gas” and a vocal number featuring Ron Barkett singing Drinking Song from the opera La Traviata arranged by local band arranger, Ron Geese.
“This program showcases the dramatic and emotional power of music—from ancient Rome to star-crossed lovers,” said co-director, Brian Botdort. “It’s a thrill to bring these works to life for our community in such a festive and welcoming environment.” For those who cannot attend the concert at Claymont High School, be sure to attend the concert at Tuscora Park Amphitheatre on Sunday, June 22nd for another performance of this Classic music. The Dominic Greco Band, celebrating 106 years of music in the valley, is under the direction of Brian Botdorf, Cheryl Graham, and April Linard.
