The event

Kristy Dickey, program specialist with the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District, will offer an informative exploration of the Muskingum Watershed titled Where Water Travels: Exploring Our Watershed. This program will be held on Thursday, May 21 at 12:15 PM at the Tuscarawas County Senior Center. Dickey will explain the creation of the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District and its role in our region. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of what a watershed is and how water moves through our local environment.

In her role as program specialist, Dickey supports the planning and delivery of educational and recreational programs throughout the district’s campgrounds, including kayak activities, day camps, weekend programs, environmental education, and special events. Kristy holds a bachelor’s degree in Conservation Biology from Kent State University. She is passionate about conservation and enjoys creating hands‑on learning experiences that help people explore stream life and how watersheds work.

This program is part of the Lunch and Learn series sponsored by the Dover Public Library on the third Thursday of every month. All programs of this series will be held at  the Tuscarawas County Senior Center, located at 425 Prospect Street in Dover. To register, contact the Senior Center at 330-364-6611.
