New Philadelphia’s Veterans’ Day event

Edit*** The New Philadelphia Veterans Coordinating Committee has decided to cancel today’s Veterans Day service on the Square in New Philadelphia. It will not be rescheduled. The public is invited to the bean soup luncheon at noon at VFW Post 1445 in New Philadelphia.
The 2022 Veterans’ Day service will be held on Veterans’ Day, Friday, November 11th, at 11am, at the Court House Square. The guest speaker is Tuscarawas County Probate and Juvenile Court Judge Adam Wilgus. Judge Wilgus proudly served at a “Red Leg”, an Army Artilleryman. The New Phila High School Marching Band, Delphian Chorale, and the Central Elementary School Choir will perform. There will also be a traditional flag folding ceremony, rifle volleys and TAPS. The public is invited to the New Philadelphia VFW Post Canteen for the traditional Bean Soup Luncheon following the service.
