“Old Fashioned” 10th Anniversary Gathering to Honor Joe Bonamico at Quaker Screening
The event
Fans of the locally-produced independent film “Old Fashioned” will be gathering in Tuscarawas County on Saturday, October 18, to celebrate the film’s 10-year anniversary.
Events will start with a Social Hour at the Daily Grind Café in downtown New Phila from 2:00-3:30 p.m. Then, things will move across the street to the Quaker Cinema for a screening of “Old Fashioned” at 4 p.m. All events are open to the public.
Tickets for the screening are currently on sale via the Quaker Cinema website: www.quakercinema.com
A tribute to the late Joe Bonamico (a local actor and long-time director of “Trumpet in the Land” was a fan favorite as George in “Old Fashioned”) will precede the screening. Bonamico died in 2024.
Rik Swartzwelder (New Phila native and writer-director of the film) and other cast/crew from “Old Fashioned” are scheduled to be in attendance.
