Open House for Troop 84

Troop 84 of New Philadelphia will host an Open House event at 7pm on Monday, September 12th, at Broadway Global Methodist Church. They are New Philadelphia’s oldest Scouts, having been chartered for 89 years. They are seeking kids ages 11 – 17. Each member has the opportunity to learn important life skills such as cooking, first aid, STEM, team work and in-depth skills from more than 135 individual merit badges while working towards the rank of Eagle Scout. They have monthly campouts spent at unique locations where scouts learn about a variety of outdoor skills. They also perform various community services projects with multiple civic organizations, municipalities, area churches and veteran organizations.
