Operation Veterans Helping Veterans at the Cy Young Festival for the 9th Annual Hero Hustle 5k Walk and Run!

We are excited to be back again this year to not only honor our military men and women in our surrounding communities, but also be a part of the Cy Young Festival Weekend! All proceeds will go directly to support the Veterans, the #orangeandblackgetfit team, and the Cy Young Festival Committee in order to continue supporting all three non-profits.

This year’s timed run will be a color run, so wear your white shirt and get ready to be powdered! The top 3 men, women, and children aged 14 and under will receive a medal! The top finisher in each category will also receive an autographed baseball from 2012 National League Cy Young Award Winner, R.A. Dickey!

The event will be held on Saturday, June 27th at Cy Young Memorial Park in Newcomerstown, Ohio. Race day registration will take place between 8:15 am & 8:40 am at the pavilion in front of the Cy Young pool. BKH Events DJ Service will help direct the outline of the morning events. The cost to run is $25; this includes a patriotic bay band headband and a free day pass to Cy Young Pool! Please register online prior to June 27th. The opening ceremony will begin at 8:45 am, and the race will start at 9:00 am. Water stops will be provided for race participants, and we will also have Broken Cup food truck on site for runners to purchase refreshments after the race!

Please make note that the rain date will be on Saturday, July 18th.

FREE!: All Veterans and kids under 9 run for free! Please contact Autumn Hendershot to provide proof of service. (A headband does not come with free registration.)

Honoring our HEROES: If you would like to recognize or support a specific veteran this year, you can add their name to your racing bib the morning of the race!
