Scam Program at Senior Center Rescheduled

/ February 18, 2025

The event

Sheriff Orvis Campbell was scheduled to give a program titled “Don’t Be the Victim of a Scam” in January at the Tuscarawas County Senior Center, but the center was closed that day due to inclement weather. The program has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 18 at 12:15 PM in the dining room at the center, located at 425 Prospect Street.

All frauds and scams have similar tactics that get their victims to give them money. Sheriff Campbell’s presentation will tell how scams and frauds work, what to look for and how to protect you and your family. Campbell says that if people don’t want their money to fall into the hands of scammers, they should slow down and look for these “red flags.”

This program is part of the Lunch and Learn series sponsored by the Dover Public Library on the third Thursday of every month. All programs of this series will be held at  the Tuscarawas County Senior Center, located at 425 Prospect Street in Dover. For more information contact Library Linda at the Senior Center or call the library at 330-343-6123.
