School days at Fort Laurens Museum

The event

Fort Laurens Museum will be hosting public school, private school and homeschooled students on Friday, May 30, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

During the event, students will learn about life on the frontier during the Revolutionary War. Students can also participate in a variety of interactive stations and demonstrations that cover Revolutionary War history, local Ohio history, archaeology and more. All activities meet Ohio educational standards for fourth through eighth grade.

Following School Day, Fort Laurens is holding their annual Revolution on the Tuscarawas Revolutionary War reenactment featuring reenactors from the Brigade of the American Revolution on Saturday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event is open to students of all ages. Pre-registration is required. Admission is $5 per student and free for one adult per group, with additional adult tickets at $5 each.
