Scio Summer Fest

The event

The festival will be held August 21st -24th, 2025 at the Firehouse parking lot and old school lot, with numerous events and entertainment for all ages to enjoy. The festival kicks off Thursday, August 21st with the 32nd Annual Kids 1 Mile Fun Run/Family Fun Walk and the 40th Annual Scio Scramble 5K Race/Walk. You can register online at runsignup.com, or mail in form. Harrison Central HS, Jr. High and Biddy Cheerleaders will perform at 6pm at the Main Stage Area. Also, at 6pm is a Cornhole Tournament. The “TUMBLEWEED BAND” will be playing Country and Variety hits at the Main Stage at 7:00pm. Friday, August 22nd, The Scio Branch Library will hold a Story Time and Craft at 5pm. Buckeye Axe Throwing will be available from 6pm to 9pm in the old school lot. “CHILLBILLYZ” will take the Main Stage at 7:30 pm playing 80’s & 90’s Country. Saturday August 23rd is slated for a day of events. 8am Pickleball Tournament at Barr Memorial Gym, 12pm noon, local talent Shay Bonnell will perform on the Main Stage, also a Cornhole Tournament. 1pm is the 9th Annual Pet Show, at 2pm “RUMLEY RENEGADES” playing Classic Rock at the Main Stage, the 91st Annual Scio Summer Fest Grand Parade, will start at 6:00 P.M. Please note that the parade route has changed back to the old route, with lineup starting at the old Scio Pottery and American Legion (Crimm Road). After the Parade, “SEVEN SOUTH”, playing 90’S & 2000 hits, will be at the Main Stage at 8pm. Sunday August 24th, will start with the 40th Annual Scio Show and Shine, held at Scio Community Park. Join us at 9:30am for Faith@Summer Fest, Church Service at the Main Stage, come early and enjoy coffee, juice and donuts courtesy of the Scio Festival Committee. At 12pm noon, Dusty Carpenter will perform at the Main Stage. 1pm-6pm — $20 wristband ride matinee. Great Conotton Creek Duck Race at 2pm. “TWICE AS NICE” will be
playing dance music at the main stage from 2pm. Festival Royalty will be crowned at 5pm with the Merchant’s Drawing at 5:15pm. As always, the Flower and Garden Show will be on display along with Legion Bingo inside the Firehouse. The Scio Museum will be open for viewing of Scio Pottery, Scio Memorabilia, Scio High School and Jewett-Scio High School Memorabilia, Saturday August 23rd, 5pm to 8pm. The Bird Nerds with Exotic Birds and Animals will be joining us again this year. BIGTOP’S MAGIC MIDWAY will be providing rides during the Festival, $20 for Wristbands per
day – ALL DAY ADMISSION on Saturday (1pm-11pm) Sunday (1pm-6pm). Advanced wristbands can be purchased for $15 until 12pm noon on August 20th at The Restaurant, B&F Dairy Bar, Pemmi’s Pizza, Scio American Legion and J.T. Thompson.
