The event

On Friday, June 21 at 8:30 P.M. Trumpet in the Land will celebrate its 55th season opener by offering $10 tickets for the outdoor drama’s opening night.

Special $10.00 tickets will be available at the Tuscarawas County Convention and Visitors’ Bureau (124 E. High Avenue, New Philadelphia) beginning May 23 at 4:00 P.M. during the bureau’s Travel & Tourism open house; the Convention and Visitors’ Bureau will also be offering free children’s tickets for the drama.  The cost for those who do not purchase opening night tickets in advance is $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, $18 for youth 13 through 17 and $10 for children 12 and under.   For those not able to make the May 23 open house, tickets will be available, while supply last, at the TCCVB until June 20.

Trumpet in the Land, full of captivating history, beautiful songs and brilliant dances retells the compelling story of Ohio’s first settlement, Schoenbrunn, the massacre at Gnadenhutten, and the battle between the Americas.  Pulitzer prize-winning playwright Paul Green’s action-packed and entertaining script engulfs patrons as history unfolds before their eyes.
