Tuscarawas Valley Civil War Round Table
The event
The Tuscarawas Valley Civil War Round Table will meet on Thursday, September 10 at 6:30 PM in the Community Room of the Dover Public Library. The featured presenter will be Brian D. Kowell, who will present: “The Horses of the Civil War.” The role of the horse is often overlooked when studying the Civil War. Horsepower literally ran the Civil War armies. They were the engines that moved Civil War armies. Learn about the important role of the horse in the Civil War, how horse management differed on each side and about some horses made famous during the Civil War.
