Fatal fire ruled an act of arson; reward offered for information
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (Dec. 2, 2022) – The Ohio Fire Marshal’s Office is trying to move the investigation into Tuesday’s fatal apartment fire forward by offering a cash reward.
The agency says it will pay up to $5,000 for tips that lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or individuals responsible for the early-morning blaze at 247 Allen Lane SW that claimed the life of 66-year-old Leanne Asuncion and injured two others. Officials made the announcement in a press release this afternoon and confirmed that the fire was an act of arson.
