| October 8, 2025

TUSCARAWAS COUNTY (WJER) (Oct. 8, 2025) – A couple of local fire departments will host their annual open houses this evening.

Dover’s will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the downtown firehouse at 116 East 3rd Street. Guests can tour the fire house, see the equipment, talk to firefighters and enjoy hot dogs.

The Uhrichsville Fire Department will invite residents from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. to take a tour and meet with firefighters. Firefighter Zach Lynch says they will have refreshments and a lot of activities for the kids.

Firefighters will offer hands-only CPR training and collect donations for Operation Warm – the Uhrichsville Firefighters’ program that provides coats for Claymont School District kids.

New Philadelphia will host its fire department open house on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. It’s all part of National Fire Prevention Week.
