Four people hospitalized in crash that closed 39 for hours
SUGARCREEK – Four people were hospitalized, one with serious injuries, following a three-vehicle crash on state Route 39 between Dover and Sugarcreek this morning.
It happened at the intersection of 39 and Schilling Hill Road around 9:45 a.m.
The State Highway Patrol says a 2024 Subara Forester driven by a 61-year-old Pittsburgh woman on Schilling Hill Road failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by an eastbound 2023 Amazon box truck.

The box truck went into the westbound lane and hit a 2015 Kenworth Straight Truck.
The Amazon driver, a 25-year-old Cleveland man, was flown by helicopter to Summa Health Care in Akron with serious injuries.
The Subaru driver, her 63-year-old female passenger and the Kenmore truck driver were transported to Mercy Hospital in Canton. Their injuries were not specified.
State Route 39 was closed in both directions for about four and a half hours.
The State Highway Patrol says everyone involved had their seatbelts on. Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors. The investigation is still pending.
