Garaway’s Wallick is first-team All-Ohio; 11 Quakers earn honors

The OHSAA has announced its All-Ohio teams for football in Divisions II through VII. Thirty-eight Tuscarawas County players earned state honors.

We will start with Division V, which had Tuscarawas County’s only first-teamer. Garaway Defensive lineman Jarett Wallick is first-team All-Ohio in Division V. Eight Garaway players earned All-Ohio. Logan Yoder is on the second team as a quarterback, linebacker Caleb Miller, and defensive backs Alexander Roden and Brady Roden are third team, and Ethan Miller, Wyatt Wallick, and Payton Keller are honorable mention. Ridgewood’s Josiah Cahill made the All-Ohio first team defense.

In Division III, New Philadelphia topped Tuscarawas County with 11 All-Ohio players, led by second team linebacker Thad VanArsdalen and third-team runningback Trevor Bean. Quakers earning honorable mention include Keaton Fausel, Konnor Tetzloff, Cameron Clarkson, Nathaniel Demuth, Elijah Forrest, Jaiden Boltz, Dakota McCune, Willy Wallace, and Kurtis Tetzloff.

In Division II, Dover has seven players, led by All-Ohio third-team quarterback Ben Hamm, runningback J.J. Barton, and defensive lineman Matt Gigax. Dover players who earned All-Ohio honorable mention are Tyler Stevenson, Simon Lorentz, Jackson Storm, and Brett DeVault.

In Division IV, Indian Valley had six All-Ohio players – Kolton Thomas made the second-team defense. Daniel Miller was a second team All-Ohio kicker. Honorable mention included Gavin Henry, Kale Kochman, Remington Myers, and Quake Beatty.

In Division VI, Newcomerstown has Bunk Millender on the second-team All-Ohio offense at runningback, Spencer Ebersbach on the third-team offensive line, and Carter McConnell as honorable mention. Tusky Valley receiver Beau Wolf is a second-team All-Ohio receiver.

In Division VII, Tuscarawas Central Catholic linebacker Gavin Douglas made the All-Ohio second team, and teammate Kenton Renicker earned honorable mention.
