GNADENHUTTEN (WJER) (July 22, 2024) – An Indian Valley educator is now in the running for the Ohio Board of Education’s 2025 Teacher of the Year award for the entire state.

High school social studies teacher Aaron Davis has been selected as the board’s teacher of the year for District 8.

In addition, Davis teaches courses in psychology, sociology, government, and media. He is also involved with the marching and pep bands. Superintendent Ira Wentworth says the administrative staff nominated Davis for all he does.

Davis says he’s proud of the accolades. He is one of 11 regional nominees in all. Four will soon be selected as finalists for the 2025 Ohio Teacher of the Year award that’ll be presented later in the year.
